Every dark thought the Doctor ever had. Every moment where he was – even for a briefest second – swayed by promises of power and domination. Every time the Doctor wanted to put himself before all others. Every instant where, even for the Doctor, the fight for what was right and good was too much. Imagine all that distilled into one man. Forced to attend a Time Lord tribunal, the Doctor was unaware the prosecutor was a possible future version of himself. This was a sham trailer on two levels. First, the defendant and prosecutor were the same person! Second, the trial had set up by a corrupt Time Lord High Council. It had moved Earth light years from its proper place and this had left only a few survivors – and the Doctor had found out.
